Our current focus is to complete the remaining phases of the Environmental Education Center facility in order to create a safe, accessible, and functional year-round community space for educational and recreational programming.

Project goals include:

• Completing interior finishing work to improve usability and comfort

• Improving ADA accessibility throughout the facility

• Enhancing outdoor gathering and classroom spaces

• Installing storage systems for recreational and program equipment

• Adding signage and organizational improvements

• Increasing the long-term sustainability and efficiency of the facility through energy-conscious upgrades.

Future programming may include activities such as paddling and hiking excursions, seed starting workshops, foraging education, and other hands-on learning experiences designed to build confidence, practical skills, and appreciation for the outdoors. All programs will be developed and led by knowledgeable professionals who are passionate about sharing their skills and fostering meaningful connections between people, community, and nature. 

The Environmental Education Center is a nonprofit organization, and eligible donations may be tax-deductible as permitted by law.

We are committed to using donations responsibly and in ways that directly support our mission. Contributions help fund educational programs, community events, market initiatives, facility improvements, and accessible learning opportunities that benefit the Big Bay community and surrounding area.
